The festive period may be drawing to a close, but here at The Sound of Settling, that just means it's time to start looking ahead to another year packed with gigs and festivals. An early contender for lineup of 2017 comes in the form of Derby's 2Q Festival. Taking place on Saturday 1st April, they've spent advent unveiling a band a day.
This year's 2Q Festival takes place across Derby city centre on Saturday 1st April and they're taking a novel approach to announcing their first 24 acts, as the names will be unleashed via an interactive advent calendar between now and Christmas Eve. The first artist to be announced, via today's calendar door, is Leeds' Pulled Apart By Horses.
Despite hailing from Wakefield originally, the link between The Cribs and Leeds is inextricable. Throughout their history, the band have graced most stages across the city and the locals see every show as an opportunity to welcome home some of their own. This weekend presents them with their most glorious opportunity yet, as the band treads the boards in the City’s iconic Millenium Square.
