As we head into the homeward stretch in the run-up to Neighbourhood Festival 2017, we’ve cast our knowing eyes across the whole of the extensive (and eclectic) line-up to provide a breakdown of the bands we think you need to see when you head over to Manchester on Saturday 7th October. Here’s our pick of the four acts you simply can’t afford to miss.
There’s something relentlessly dreary about October. As the sunshine (what little was on offer) fades in the rear view mirror, the long journey to the festive period seems pocked with rain and galeforce winds. Luckily, for The Big Moon, touring is (quite literally) a year round affair and they’re back in the van to bring a dose of buoyant Vitamin C to our autumn days.
This weekend sees Neighbourhood Festival returning to the streets of Manchester for their sophomore event and, after the success of the first installment in 2016, it's really no surprise that tickets have been flying out since the line-up was announced. Still on sale, at the bargain price of £33, tickets are available here.
Having already released one of the best debut albums of 2017 (and beyond) The Big Moon are continuing their relentless pre-album touring schedule with a slew of headline dates and a near-complete set of summer festivals. Tonight's show at The Deaf Institute sold out several weeks ago and the Friday night crowd are ready to go.
This year has already been jam-packed with bands making the step-up to a debut full-length. So far, none of them have been as astounding as the leap made by The Big Moon. After a lengthy trail of fantastic singles, the quartet have unleashed 'Love in the Fourth Dimension' and it's everything we'd ever dreamed of and then some.
This year marks the eleventh installment of Live at Leeds. Taking place across Leeds city centre, including over twenty venues, on from Friday 28th April to Sunday 30th April, we're wading in to offer our highlights of the 100+ artist line-up. Tickets are available now, with Saturday's main event just £32.50, for a solid day of live music.
