PINS
Cosmosis Festival will be PINS' largest homecoming show to date. Given that they only formed in 2011, they've already had a number incarnations and last year's 'Wild Nights' saw the band dive headfirst into the world of punk. Their live show is engrossing and the Victoria Warehouse is sure to be captivated by a group of locals done good.
Holy Wave
Blending surf-influenced psychedelia with the controlled chaos of bands like My Bloody Valentine allows Holy Wave to occupy an unexpected no-man's-land, which straddles summer vibes and intense atmospherics. They're due to follow-up 2014's 'Relax' in the near future and Cosmosis Festival is likely to be a testing ground for their new direction.
Esben and the Witch
Named after a Danish fairytale and already three fantastic albums into their career, Brighton's Esben and the Witch have recently spent time recording new material. It's likely that their Cosmosis slot will allow them to showcase the fruits of these labours.
Baba Naga
Baba Naga have recently unleashed 'Odmience', a trippy, eight-minute journey through a range of influences. It suggests that they're destined for great things in the future and they're sure to provide one of Cosmosis Festivals first real 'I was there' moments.
Tickets for Cosmosis Festival are available now for £71. The event itself takes place on Saturday 12th March at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse. The full line-up is shown below.
