In late 2023, after a string of singles like ‘Hypernormalisation’ and ‘Rogue Wave’, the band unleashed the (somewhat misleadingly-titled) ‘House & Trance’. The fear with bands returning after an extended period of absence is that they either become trapped in the quagmire of the past or push the sound so far into the present that it effectively feels like an entirely new band. Somehow, Crime In Stereo have managed to walk that tightrope with the album never drifting into the nostalgia trip lane while retaining the elements of the band’s original core; this is an evolution and one which still sounds incredibly relevant in 2024.
Next week sees the band hit UK shores, an event which never happened frequently enough even before the lengthy hiatus, as they join close friends The Movielife for three British shows in London, Manchester and Leeds.
Tickets for the shows are onsale now from all usual outlets and the full tour itinerary is shown below with the tour kicking off at Manchester’s Club Academy on Friday 15th March.
