With Låpsley's debut album finally upon us, the 19-year-old Southport native is taking her spellbinding vocals out on the road this week. Unsurprisingly, tickets are running very low for some dates.
It's unsurprising that Låpsley has already made her way into such big venues (Manchester's show hits the 800 capacity Academy Two this weekend) and that swathes of tickets had already been sold all before her debut album had even reached our ears. Tracks like 'Hurt Me' are already more accomplished than many of her peers, yet Låpsley isn't even yet out of her teens. Hailing from Southport and working relentlessly hard over the past twelve months she has been hailed for great things across the board and she's now delivering on all of that early promise
The album itself blends electronic music with the charm and melody of a seasoned singer-songwriter, drawing comparisons to the likes of James Blake. The electronic elements give certain moments a punch, yet it's the subtleties which make the release an instant classic.
The tour has sold well, so you need to pick up tickets quickly if you want to get involved. The tour kicks off in Manchester on Saturday.
