This week sees At The Drive In returning to UK shores for their most extensive headline run in over a decade. If that run of shows, in support of last year's 'in•ter a•li•a' album, wasn't enough, the band are also bringing the eclectic live explosion of Le Butcherettes over to support them for the entire run of British dates.
Le Butcherettes are one of the few bands who have made it from the underground Mexican punk scene to bring their garage bluster to a wider, global audience. Their 2015 release 'A Raw Youth' saw the band flirt with a range of influences, without ever turning away from the fiery passion at the heart of their music. At The Drive In's Omar Rodríguez-López has produced, and played on, the band's last two full-length releases. He's also taken them on the road with at least three of his extensive portfolio of bands; testament to Le Butcherettes unerringly chaotic live charm.
At The Drive In themselves are obviously one of the best live acts of all time. Since returning from their lengthy hiatus, and bringing about the reunion that nobody expected, they've lost none of their dynamite appeal and 'in•ter a•li•a' proved that they've had more than enough ideas gestating while they've been away.
This tour, one of 2018's certain highlights despite its early arrival, sees Death From Above also making an appearance.
