Some bands wait an entire career to carve their own niche; to force their way out from under the influences which brought them to music in the first place. Manchester's Pale Waves have had no such problem. Their releases to date do not sound like a band in their infancy. They already have a sound uniquely 'them'.
This week sees the band tour atop the Class of 2018 bill and their set promises to pack a punch, as Pale Waves' existing studio output strides between alternative meanderings and straight up pop sensibilities. Termed 'goth pop' by some, it's melody which drives their clutch of insta-anthems and it's no surprise that the majority of dates have sold out in advance.
