Loneliness is forced to the forefront of proceedings with the glorious 'Demi Moore' and it's choral refrain of "I don't wanna be alone" repeated throughout. The evening is an emotional rollercoaster with Bridger's lyricism forcing us back and forth between warmth and a hollow emptiness; it's a balance which few artists attempt, let alone master.
The main set closes with 'Scott Street', a meandering recollection of a past relationship and the song which receives the biggest reaction of the evening.
The encore is made up of a gorgeous stripped-back run-through of 'You Missed My Heart', a cover which Bridgers has long since made entirely her own. Finally, the band treat us to a performance of Boygenius' 'Me and My Dog'. The supergroup, made up of Bridgers alongside Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, are on the cusp of unleashing their first EP and this rare treat is a perfect ending to the evening.
