When 'Future Me Hates Me' tumbled forth in 2018, it was a relative slow burner. The Beths' initial UK shows were in tiny venues (their first Manchester date taking place in the cramped upstairs seating area of a now-defunct micro-brewery) and the fanfare took a little while to fully announce itself. But once their genius began to find a larger audience, the venue sizes increased dramatically. With anthems like 'Whatever', 'Future Me Hates Me' and 'Little Death', the band seemed to have a career-worthy collection of bangers at the first time of asking.
Fast forward two years and (mid-pandemic) the band unleashed one of 2020's albums of the year. 'Jump Rope Gazers' added even more thoughtful reflection to their harmony-laden compositions and the result was truly captivating. Global circumstances obviously prevented the band taking the tracks on the road and this week finally allows Aukland's finest to breathe life into the offerings for the first time.
The full tour itinerary is shown below and, aside from those which have already sold out, tickets for the run are on sale now.
