Last year’s ‘Out In The Storm’ took a giant leap forward in terms of the critical acclaim being lavished upon Crutchfield. Not exactly a revolution in terms of her sound, it was more of a natural culmination of where her previous three albums had been heading, which finally forced the masses to sit up and take note. The most obvious development was the increasingly rich layers of musicianship caressing Crutchfield’s melodies, which still quiver at the heartbeat of every track.
This week sees Waxahatchee make their UK return. With their previous tour (in support of the aforementioned fourth album) largely selling out, it’s hardly surprising to see them shuffling their way into the some of the largest rooms they’ve ever played. Having said that, the rooms remain intimate enough to please those who have been invested since 2012’s ‘American Weekend’.
The tour kicks off in London on Tuesday 11th June, before touching base in four other cities. The full tour itinerary is shown below and tickets are available to buy now.
